In-service Training and Internship Programmes Will Empower Graduates If Managed Properly

Kwanda Phiri, GM of iMbasa IT writes an excellent article arguing that in-service training and internship programmes will empower graduates if managed properly.

Writing about the needs for IT graduates in South Africa, the argument is made that colleges and universities provide excellent theoretical and academic foundation for IT graduates, but leaves them without any practical experience about how to make use of what they have learned.  The remedy suggested is for experience-rich internship programs as part of the college curriculum.
