There are two resources that I strongly recommend. (Yes – there are more than two – but these are, in my humble opinion, the BEST.)
- The Great Courses Plus – This site offers over 11,000 engaging video lectures on such subjects as Science, History, Travel, Health & Wellness, Professional Development, Photography, Cooking and much more! You can access the site by clicking HERE.
- Lynda.com – now called LinkedIn Learning – is an American massive open online course website offering video courses taught by industry experts in software, creative, and business skills. It is a subsidiary of LinkedIn. It was founded in 1995 by Lynda Weinman as lynda.com before being acquired by LinkedIn in 2015. You can access the site by clicking HERE.
The Great Courses Plus is much like attending a series of excellent lectures by world-class professors. It is more like general education than technical learning.
Lynda.com offers more technical training. Excellent for those who are interested in learning different software applications, how to self-publish a book, how to use Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.
Give them a try! You have to pay a modest sum – to join – but both are very much worth the minor expense.
